The story
The lighthouse stands at the end of the stone arm that shelters the small mooring inside the Montazah gardens, dividing the quiet water of the bay from the open sea behind it.
Its yellow-and-red banded tower has made it the most photographed thing at Montazah after the palace itself, and the visual reference by which people know this bay from the others along the coast.
It still works as a mark for the small boats coming into the mooring, and the garden’s walking path passes it, so it is seen close to from the quay.
